A royal residence since Louis XIII, Versailles reached the height of its glory in the 17th century, when Louis XIV transformed his father’s "small gentleman’s estate" into the refined masterpiece "à la française" which has since become an emblem of France’s architectural heritage. Drawing inspiration from the sun, and royal emblems, S.T. Dupont has created the Versailles limited edition as an expression of French lifestyle.
This limited edition is made up of three Ligne 2 lighters, two Olympio Extra large pens (fountain pen and roller), a cigar cutter and an ashtray, as well as two pairs of cuff links and a money clip. The two pens are limited to 1,686 numbered examples, the date when the Hall of Mirrors was opened. The pocket lighters are limited to 2,686 numbered pieces and the table lighter and accessories are limited to 686 numbered examples.

S.T. Dupont pays tribute to the craftsmanship illustated at the Chateau de Versailles, saluting the masterpieces created not only by famous painters but also by the thousands of anonymous craftsmen who worked behind the scenes. Drawing inspiration from the sun, a theme that is omnipresent at Versailles and royal emblems like the fleur-de-lis, S.T.Dupont has created the Versailles limited edition decorated with motifs in fine gold, recalls the tranquil atmosphere of the chateau's salons, its baroque-style furniture, and its richly decorated ceilings. This contrasts with the lattice motif, a decorative them which appears throughout the range, inspired by the rectangular shapes of the Versailles French-style garden
Résidence royale depuis Louis XIII, Versailles connut son apogée au XVII ème siècle sous Louis XIV qui fit du “petit château de gentilhomme” de son père le chef d’œuvre d’architecture et de raffinement à la française qui fait la fierté de la France aujourd’hui.
C’est l’artisan S.T.Dupont qui rend hommage aujourd’hui à Versailles, saluant les chefs d’œuvre accomplis par les peintres les plus célèbres mais aussi ces milliers d’anonymes qui œuvrèrent dans l’ombre. S’inspirant du soleil, thème omniprésent à Versailles, et des emblèmes royaux comme la fleur de lys, S.T.Dupont crée cette série limitée Versailles comme un témoignage de l’art de vivre à la française.
Cette édition limitée exceptionnelle se compose de trois briquets, de deux stylos Olympio XLarge, plume et roller, d’un coupe-cigare et d’un cendrier, ainsi que de deux paires de boutons de manchette et d’une pince à billets. Cette série Versailles est numérotée sur 1686 pour les deux stylos, date de l’inauguration de la galerie des Glaces. Les briquets de poche sont numérotés sur 2686, tandis que le briquet de table et les accessoires le sont sur 686.
