I know very little about collectible lighters. I bought 2 vintage DuPont gas lighters from neighbors here in Texas. This one came from a couple that lived in France for several years. They purchased this lighter in France. I believe it is what’s called a Line 1 JT DuPont Lighter. It is gold in color, I’m assuming it is gold plated but I do not find any marks other than the ones on the bottom. I tried to find information on DuPont serial numbers to determine the age but there doesn’t seem to be a reference. It measures 1.85 inches by 1.38 inches. It has Asian writing on the enamel on one corner as shown. It has what may be the initials DC (not sure but shown in the photos) on the enamel near the top. It is in used working condition. I cleaned it a bit, put a new flint in it and just a little butane to see that it worked. It doesn’t light after a day or two so I think it may leak fuel.
